This allows you to pick up formatting for objects or text without having to switch between tools using the mouse. Once the keys are released, you're back in the Text tool. Macintosh only.

XML DATA BRIDGE: Connect InDesign pages to a database or asset management system.
The XML Data Bridge solution connects databases and other data sources to InDesign in two directions. First, InDesign page data (prices, descriptions, sku, etc.) can be linked to external data sources, allowing the latest information to be imported at a moments notice with formats intact. Reversing direction, sections of the InDesign or InCopy document can be marked and exported to various database servers or XML files.
